As director of Gannett Fleming’s Power Services, Paul Young sets the strategic direction and vision for the firm’s growing work in power delivery, instrumentation and control, and renewable energy. Under his leadership, Gannett Fleming power experts consistently execute and deliver solutions that meet the highest standards of excellence, quality, and safety.
Paul has more than 30 years of experience in all aspects of power delivery. With a focus on substation and transmission design, Paul has helped major power utility providers and global mining companies to meet growing demands for power.
Most recently, Paul served as president of LDP Group, Inc., prior to the firm’s acquisition by Gannett Fleming at the beginning of 2017. Throughout his career, Paul has served as a senior electrical engineer and senior project manager, leading the design, development, and management of projects to improve power infrastructure, including electrical substations up to 345kV. As a trusted industry expert, Paul has testified before regulatory commissions and zoning boards.
Paul is based in Gannett Fleming’s St. Louis, Missouri, office. He holds his bachelor of science in electrical engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla and his master of science in telecommunications systems from DePaul University. He is a member of the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES); NCEES International Registry; Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers; and the National Society of Professional Engineers.
