What types of companies should apply to the Ameren Accelerator?
The program is open to companies working on energy-related technology solutions, including those related to the energy grid, distributed generation, digital communications, inter-office efficiency applications and more. Below is a list of additional types of companies we are looking for that could have application in various ways to the energy sector:

Natural Language Processing
Information Technology Infrastructure
Whether you have a hardware or software company, early-stage or venture-backed enterprise, we invite you to apply. If your solution has any use that could apply to the energy sector, then you're a fit for our program.
How much funding will the selected companies receive?
Each company will receive $100,000 in exchange for 8 percent equity in the business.
How many companies will be selected for the program?
Five to seven companies will be selected.
How long is the program and when does it start?
The program is 13 weeks and starts August 12th, 2019 and ends on November 1st, 2019. (Orientation week begins August 5th, 2019.)
Where is the Ameren Accelerator located?
What does the program include?
The program includes seed funding, perks, benefits, office space and intensive mentoring to help accelerate the growth of your business. Companies will receive expert mentorship from a combination of current and former c-level executives, presidents and founders from small, medium, and large-sized businesses. Startups also will receive additional help from specific subject matters experts in areas such as technical development, sales, marketing, finance, pricing, operations, talent development and more. In addition, there will be guidance from Ameren, one of the Midwest's premier energy providers serving millions of customers.
At the conclusion of the program, there will be an opportunity to showcase your business to Ameren, the energy community, potential investors, customers and others. Although it's not guaranteed, Ameren may select specific companies for additional mentorship and post-program investment.
Who owns the intellectual property developed by the companies during the Ameren Accelerator program?
Intellectual property developed by a company participating in the program is retained by that company.
Are there any other legal-related issues that companies should be aware of?
Is relocation required for the program?
Yes. We accept applications from around the world, but the program takes place in St. Louis, Missouri, USA and at least one founder from each selected company will be required to be present in person.
When is Demo Day?
Demo Day will take place the week of November 4th, 2019.
