Vice President of Service Sales at Siemens Medical
David Austin is an accomplished and award-winning sales leader and contributor with more than 20 years of experience in sales, marketing, operations and business development in medical diagnostic imaging and clinical diagnostics, currently serving as Vice President of Service Sales for Siemens Medical, where he leads a team responsible for driving $350M+ in both annual bookings and revenue contribution. His previous positions include roles in sales and business development leadership with medical device organizations, including Vice President of Sales at Gamma Medica, Inc., multiple positions of escalating responsibility at Hologic, Inc. where he last served as U.S. Director of Sales for the MRI and Ultrasound Divisions where he helped to lead the successful divestiture of the division to Invivo/Philips. He joined Hologic as part of the acquisition of Sentinelle Medical, a Toronto-based start-up that produced medical devices. Prior to Hologic/Sentinelle Medical, he held various sales and leadership positions at medical device startups, following a successful period in clinical diagnostics device sales and business development.
David earned his Bachelor of Science degree with Honors in Biochemistry from the University of Missouri and his MBA from Washington University in St. Louis.
David is a family man and enjoys spending time with his wife Liz and 3 children. He is passionate about supporting children and adults with special needs, previously serving on the Board of Directors for Belle Center until its successful merger with St. Louis ARC. He also serves on his church’s Leadership Board, and volunteers in the community in various capacities, including Boy Scouts and as a little league baseball coach. He enjoys playing an occasional round of golf, cooking and traveling.
